We Pray

One of the seven core values of our congregation is Prayer. These core values are printed in our bulletin almost every Sunday. The following describes our core value of prayer:

Prayer as a means of opening our hearts, minds, and souls to God through thanksgiving, intercession, confession, and supplication.

Perhaps you are familiar with the ACTS acrostic for prayer: A is Adoration C is Confession T is Thanksgiving S is Supplication

In other words our prayers are ACTS!

Thursday, May 1st is Ascension Day. It is also The National Day of Prayer. The Outreach Ministry Team/Evangelism Committee is implementing a time of prayer for our nation to be held in our sanctuary at 7:00pm. You and Yours are invited to come and be a part of this prayer time for our nation.

We will pray for:

• Our Government
• Our Military
• Our Media
• Our Businesses
• Our Education
• Our Churches
• Our Families

We remember and celebrate this promise of God recorded in II Chronicles 7:14

“If my people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal the land.”

At the conclusion of the prayer service we will have a special activity for the children, families, and everyone present!
