Frequently Asked Questions
Where and when are the church’s services?
Pilgrim’s services are in our sanctuary. We have two services every Sunday morning: A traditional service at 8:30 am, and a contemporary service at 11:00 am. Direction to our church are on this page.
What should I wear?
The church office has compiled a catalog of acceptable worship clothing. Just kidding! Feel free to wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable. We care more that you’re here, than what you wear.
What are your services like?
Pilgrim’s services focus mostly on worship and preaching. We’ll share some announcements during the morning, express our hearts to God through music, and hear a teaching about God’s word.
The 8:30 am service is a traditional Lutheran service from the new Lutheran Service Book for those who connect to God through hymns and liturgy. The music at the 11:00 am service is contemporary. The sermon in both services is identical.
Both before and after the service, our fellowship hall is open to talk more with people you’ve met and grab a cup of good “Lutheran” coffee.
Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out?
Rest assured that you won’t be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Though we do receive an offering, we don’t want anyone to feel obligated to give. Your presence is quite enough of a gift for us. We do like to collect some basic information from people in our guest registry, but if you’d prefer not to, that’s all right with us.
What will my kids do?
A staffed nursery is available during both 8:30 and 11:00 services.
During the Sunday School hour (9:45 - 10:45) children ages 3 - high school can participate in curriculum tailored for each age group.
Parents are always welcome to attend and observe any of our children’s ministries.
What about Bible Study?
Adult Sunday school class (9:45 - 10:45) offers in-depth exploration of Biblical truths and contemporary issues that affect your life. Additional small groups meet throughout the week with selected topics of study.
